Hotel Washington Colón

The entrance remodeling project of the historic Washington Hotel in the province of Colón focused on the demolition and reconstruction of the existing staircase and access ramp, introducing new geometry, lighting, vegetation and high-quality design. A new ramp was created with an innovative and modern design that improves access to the hotel without compromising its classic identity. The redesigned geometry of the ramp brings an element of fluidity, effortlessly connecting the exterior of the hotel with the interior. The staircase has been reconstructed with a contemporary design, but respectful of the architectural style of the hotel. The clean lines and geometric shapes of the new staircase present a modern interpretation of the hotel's classic architecture. Artistic lighting was installed to highlight the new geometry of the ramp and staircase and improve safety during nighttime hours. Lighting also plays a decorative role, highlighting architectural details and creating a welcoming and attractive atmosphere. Greenery has been incorporated into the entrance design to add a touch of freshness and color to the environment. This vegetation not only adds beauty, but also creates a pleasant microclimate and improves local biodiversity. The remodeling of the Washington Hotel's entrance has achieved a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, enhancing the hotel's classic architectural identity while incorporating modern and functional elements to adapt to current needs.
